NeTEx allows the transfer of informations relevant to Public Transport, which in Germany have been transferred for years via the interface VDV-452. A comparison and an example is available at www.vdv.de/netex.

In 2015 a project has been started to build a German profile about which parts of NeTEx shall be used in which manner fort the transfer of data in Germany.
